Fendt Power to the ground
In themed hub 5, we showcase the Fendt 900 and 1000 Vario series, as well as the Fendt 900 Vario MT and 1100 MT. Focus of attention will be our unique powertrain function features, fuel efficiency and service package.
The ground pressure is mechanically displayed. Different air pressures in the tyres are displayed, and the track pressure distribution set out. The 900 Vario MT drive will roll over objects. Topics such as Constant Grip, VarioDrive, intelligent 4WD coupling, low speed concept, and the Concentric Air System are presented through use of animation/films on the big screen and through oral presentations. The service package is explained using practical examples.

Fendt 900 Vario provides enormous power and dynamic acceleration with a maximum power of up to 396 HP. With the six-cylinder Deutz engine with common rail high-pressure injection system and 7.8 litre cubic capacity, it provides enormous tractive power. The high injection pressure of 2,000 bar ensures fine atomisation and exceptional combustion in the engine compartment.
The tyre pressure can be optimally adjusted for field and road use using the integrated Fendt VarioGrip tyre pressure monitoring system. The tyre pressure is set to the ideal level during the ride. With the right tyre pressure in the field, the farmer works up to 8% more land with the cultivator, and makes an additional diesel saving of 8%. On the roads, the right tyre pressure not only ensures the necessary ride stability and lower tyre wear, but also saves up to 4% diesel.

All components from engine to gearbox, through to radiator and hydraulics, have been designed specifically for permanent power in demanding applications, and tailored to high power transfer with very low consumption. Of all its strengths, the Fendt 1000 Vario shines due to its excellent manoeuvrability and low tare weight with high payload. The latest software solutions and versatile interfaces open the way to networked services, which increase operating efficiency through quick data analysis and maintenance options even during field work.
Fendt 1000 Vario harnesses its power. Its large tyres, intelligent ballasting and tyre pressure assistant as well as unique, variable four-wheel drive deliver the right amount of grip in any situation – along with outstanding manoeuvrability.
On large combines, the question arises of optimal distribution of axle load in order to prevent relief, to protect the soil and to maintain tyres to meet their maximum traction capacity. The purpose of Fendt VarioPull is to be able to set the ideal load distribution between the axles while taking into account varying implement tongue weights, by utilising the existing weight of the implement better in terms of traction. The tongue weight of the implement is therefore shifted as far as possible from the rear axle to the front axle. VarioPull does this by pulling the coupling point, e.g. a lower link hook, as close as possible to the rear axle through a hydro-mechanical locking cylinder. The lever arm between coupling point and rear axle, and the front axle relief is therefore reduced.
